Emmanuel Aiyenigba, MD


Emmanuel is a physician with over twelve (12) years of experience in Public Health and Health Systems Design. He is a Certified Professional of Project Management, Healthcare Quality, Patient Safety, Manager of Quality and Organizational Excellence, Scrum and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt. He combines his passion for teaching with a wide array of methodologies as he supports teams, organizations and Governments in the creation of resilient systems. Emmanuel is a member, Fellow and Expert of the International Society for Healthcare Quality (ISQua) and serves as Technical Director on the IHI Africa Hospital Patient Safety Initiative.

Ernest K Asiedu, MD, Mphil


Ernest is an IHI trained and certified Improvement Advisor. He is the Head of the National Quality Management Unit, Ministry of Health Ghana responsible for coordinating and implementation of the National Healthcare Quality Strategy. He was the Coordinator for Community and Institutional Care of the National Catholic Health Service (NCHS); overseeing over 100 health institutions in Ghana. He has over ten years of experience as a clinician, public health practitioner, manager and Improvement Advisor prior to joining Ubora Institute as a faculty member. He has contributed significantly to the achievements of Project Fives Alive! as a Quality Improvement team leader in the hospital; Lead of the NCHS Hospital Collaborative (Wave 3) and Regional Lead during the National Scale-up phase of the Project.
